Compensation Manager
Overview
A strategic and hands-on role leading the evolution of compensation programs within a performance-driven organization. This position focuses on modernizing incentive structures, strengthening pay frameworks, and leveraging systems and data to improve decision-making and employee engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and roll out performance-based incentive programs aligned to business priorities and market practices
- Lead the transition and optimization of existing bonus and incentive frameworks to drive stronger outcomes
- Partner with technical teams and vendors to implement and enhance compensation systems, improving automation and reporting capabilities
- Develop and maintain salary structures, job architecture, and pay frameworks to ensure consistency and scalability
- Oversee annual compensation cycles, including salary reviews, promotions, and variable pay execution
- Collaborate with leadership to forecast and manage compensation budgets and cost impact
- Analyze market data and trends to inform pay positioning and adjustment recommendations
- Work with external benchmarking sources to validate competitiveness
- Support audits, reporting, and governance requirements tied to reward programs
- Provide advisory support to HR, talent, and business leaders on compensation-related decisions
- Create clear communication materials to increase transparency and understanding of pay programs
Profile
- Strong experience in compensation program design, with a focus on incentive structures
- Demonstrated ability to lead change and improve existing reward frameworks
- Comfortable working with compensation tools, HR systems, and data sets
- Advanced analytical and spreadsheet capabilities
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Commercial mindset with the ability to balance data, market insight, and business needs
- Detail-oriented with sound judgment and problem-solving ability
