Role Summary
The Global Benefits Specialist will play a critical role in supporting global benefits programs and processes. This position partners closely with senior benefits leadership and HR Operations to deliver high-quality benefits administration, data-driven insights, and a strong employee experience across regions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day administration of U.S. benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement, employee assistance, wellbeing, and voluntary benefits; support international benefits administration as required.
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries related to U.S. benefits and leave of absence (LOA) matters, providing timely guidance, triaging complex issues, and ensuring a positive employee experience.
- Coordinate and administer U.S. leave of absence processes, including eligibility determination, documentation collection, compliance with federal and state regulations, tracking leave durations, extension requests, and return-to-work planning.
- Deliver U.S. new hire benefits orientations and provide backup support to global regions.
- Oversee benefits invoicing and reconciliation on a global basis, validating vendor invoices, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring accurate cost allocation.
- Ensure benefits programs comply with applicable U.S. and international regulations, including ERISA, HIPAA, GDPR, and local statutory requirements.
- Analyze global benefits data related to cost, utilization, and trends; provide insights to improve cost efficiency, program quality, and the employee experience.
- Develop and maintain global benefits dashboards and key metrics such as cost per employee, benefit utilization, enrollment participation, and vendor performance.
- Support U.S. open enrollment activities and assist with global benefits renewal efforts.
- Assist with retirement plan testing and annual audit processes.
- Identify and implement opportunities to streamline benefits administration, reporting, and workflows.
