Senior Director Executive Compensation
Overview
A senior individual contributor role supporting complex client engagements across compensation strategy, analytics, and advisory work. This position partners closely with senior leadership to deliver high-quality insights, manage multiple workstreams, and contribute to both client delivery and business development efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of analytical workstreams across executive pay, performance alignment, and reward design
- Translate complex data into clear, client-ready materials including presentations, reports, and recommendations
- Manage multiple concurrent projects, ensuring timelines are met and deliverables are delivered to a high standard
- Support senior stakeholders in client engagements, contributing to discussions and shaping strategic recommendations
- Build a strong understanding of client organizations, including business performance and compensation structures
- Conduct detailed benchmarking and market analysis using a variety of external data sources
- Review and validate external data inputs, ensuring consistency, quality, and accuracy of analysis
- Contribute to development of new business opportunities through research, proposals, and supporting materials
- Support thought leadership efforts, including written content and market insights
- Maintain rigorous quality control standards across all deliverables
Profile
- Strong experience in compensation consulting or a comparable advisory environment
- Deep understanding of executive compensation, including benchmarking, incentive design, and pay-for-performance alignment
- Solid grounding in financial analysis and business performance metrics
- Familiarity with regulatory and governance considerations related to compensation programs
- Advanced analytical capability, including working with large datasets and complex models
- Highly proficient in Excel, presentations, and data tools
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex ideas
- Self-directed, highly organized, and comfortable managing competing priorities
- High attention to detail with a commitment to quality and accuracy
Experience
- Background in consulting, advisory, or in-house compensation roles within complex organizations
- Relevant academic foundation in business, economics, finance, or similar
- Advanced degree or equivalent experience preferred
