APAC Payroll Specialist

We are partnering a global Financial Services firm to appoint a Regional Payroll Specialist. Headquartered in the Americas, our client has been at the forefront of leveraging on cutting-edge technological tools/platforms to facilitate various financial transactions, thereby serving customers as wide-ranging as institutional banking to retail banking and beyond. Due to the broad width of its portfolio, it has footprints that stretch across all major regions of the world. This is an individual contributor position based in Singapore.

Reporting into the International Payroll Lead, you will be the go-to person for all Payroll related matters for the Asia-Pacific region. This means collating and reviewing relevant information and processing payroll monthly for all the markets – modest-sized headcount of approximately 100 employees – under your charge. As the Subject Matter Expert for the region, you will be the first point of contact for tax matters relating to the respective jurisdictions. This includes the setting up and implementing of new entities, including completing the necessary on-boarding duties.

We are looking for a payroll expert with strong track record of having attended to multi-faceted payroll matters at the APAC level. This naturally entails individuals with strong attention to details and are able to work in a face-paced environment independently. Backgrounds in Financial Services (buy-side especially) and Fintech will be a plus.
