Global Benefits & Mobility Lead
Frazer Jones is delighted to be partnering with a large, international organisation that is continuing to evolve its global People and Reward operating model. With a significant workforce and operations spanning multiple European markets, the business is investing in the development of a more consistent, competitive and commercially sustainable approach to benefits and global mobility. This is a newly defined and highly visible role within the Global Rewards Centre of Excellence, offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced benefits and mobility professional to shape the organisation’s global proposition. Reporting directly to the Global Head of Total Rewards, you will take ownership of the programmes that sit alongside base pay, spanning employee benefits, recognition and international mobility. The environment is international, fast-paced and evolving, with a strong emphasis on innovation, commerciality and employee experience. You will work across multiple markets, partnering closely with Reward, HR, Finance, Legal and Tax colleagues, as well as external brokers, vendors and mobility providers. This is a broad role combining strategic design, governance and vendor management with hands-on delivery.
Reporting into the Global Head of Total Rewards, you will lead the development and harmonisation of the organisation’s benefits offering across its operating markets. This will include health and life insurance, pension and retirement arrangements, fleet and car policies, and wider ancillary benefits. You will assess current provision, identify gaps and develop a clear benefits philosophy that balances market competitiveness, internal equity, employee experience and cost. Alongside benefits, you will own the global mobility policy and governance framework for international assignments and permanent cross-border moves. Operational delivery is supported by an external mobility provider, allowing this role to focus on policy, governance, escalations, exceptions and the overall quality and cost-effectiveness of the programme.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the harmonisation of benefits across multiple international markets, including health, life, pension, retirement, fleet and car arrangements
- Conducting regular benefits benchmarking and gap analysis to assess market competitiveness and internal consistency
- Developing a clear global benefits philosophy and broader Total Reward proposition
- Designing and proposing improvements to benefits programmes, balancing employee experience with commercial and cost considerations
- Ensuring benefits arrangements remain compliant with relevant local legislation
- Owning relationships with global and local benefits vendors and brokers, from RFP and selection through to contract negotiation and performance review
- Driving cost optimisation across the benefits portfolio, monitoring expenditure and identifying opportunities to improve value
- Partnering with Finance on benefits budgeting, forecasting and cost reporting
- Managing benefits platforms and enrolment tools to support a seamless employee experience
- Designing and managing employee recognition programmes, including peer recognition, milestone awards and long-service initiatives
- Owning the global mobility policy and governance framework for international assignments and permanent cross-border moves
- Managing policy decisions, escalations and exceptions relating to approximately 20 international moves each year
- Partnering with Legal and Tax on assignment structures, shadow payroll and host-country compliance
- Maintaining robust policy documentation, governance frameworks and audit-ready records
- Collaborating with Reward Technology colleagues to improve benefits data, reporting and automation.
You will bring broad global benefits and mobility experience, ideally gained within a complex, multinational organisation operating across several European markets. You will be comfortable moving between strategic design and hands-on delivery, with the credibility to influence senior stakeholders and the commercial judgement to balance employee needs with cost discipline.
Experience and capabilities will include:
- At least five years’ experience across global benefits and/or mobility (benefits preferred)
- Experience working across multiple European markets
- Demonstrable experience of benefits harmonisation, ideally within an M&A, integration or organisational transformation environment
- Experience governing a global mobility programme, including assignment policy, tax considerations and vendor management
- A strong track record of managing vendor RFPs, commercial negotiations and ongoing supplier performance
- Familiarity with benefits technology platforms and enrolment tools
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to assess the cost and value of benefits programmes
- A data-led approach to benchmarking, reporting and measuring return on investment
- The ability to navigate different legal, regulatory and cultural environments
- Excellent relationship management, communication and negotiation skills
- The ability to explain complex benefits and mobility matters clearly to a range of stakeholders
- An innovative and forward-looking mindset, including an interest in how AI and emerging technology can improve the Reward function.
This is predominately a benefits role but if the candidate brings experience and/or qualifications in global mobility matters then this is highly advantageous. Fluent English is essential, and an additional European language, particularly French, Dutch, Polish or Spanish, would be beneficial.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a business where benefits and mobility are becoming increasingly important components of the global people agenda. You will have the scope to shape strategy, establish stronger governance and create a more consistent employee proposition across multiple markets.
You will gain exposure to:
- A broad, group-wide international remit
- The harmonisation of benefits across multiple European markets
- Global mobility policy and cross-border assignment governance
- Vendor strategy, commercial negotiation and cost optimisation
- Recognition programme design and implementation
- Benefits technology, reporting and automation
- Close partnership with senior Reward, HR, Finance, Legal and Tax stakeholders
The role can be based in the UK, the Netherlands or Spain and will be a remote working position. The salary will be determined according to location and experience but you can expect in the region of £75-90k on base, alongside an annual performance bonus of 15% of base salary and benefits aligned to the relevant local framework.
This is a stand-out opportunity for an experienced global benefits and mobility professional who wants to take genuine ownership of an international proposition. You will join a developing Global Reward COE function with the platform to influence policy, improve the employee experience and deliver meaningful commercial value across the organisation.
If you are a benefits and mobility professional looking to broaden your global scope and shape the future direction of benefits, recognition and international mobility within a complex multinational business, we would be delighted to hear from you.
