About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive HR Operations Manager to lead and develop our HR operations function across a fast-paced PE Backed multi-sited business.
This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on HR professional who thrives in a dynamic retail environment and is passionate about delivering excellent employee and manager experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all HR operational processes across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, contracts, payroll inputs, benefits administration, and offboarding.
- Lead the HR Operations team, ensuring high standards of service delivery and continuous improvement.
- Maintain and optimise HR systems, ensuring data integrity, reporting accuracy, and compliance with GDPR requirements.
- Develop, review, and implement HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation, internal policies, and retail industry standards.
- Produce and analyse HR metrics and workforce reports to support business decision-making.
- Partner with managers and business leaders to improve HR processes and employee experience.
- Manage employee relations and support organisational change initiatives.
- Drive process improvement projects to increase efficiency, accuracy, and service quality.
- Oversee audits and ensure all employee records are maintained accurately and confidentially.
About You
You will be an experienced HR professional who has worked across multi-site business with diverse workforces. You will have led on the end to end employee lifecycle and managed a team of junior HR Assistants in previous roles.
- Proven experience in an HR Operations Manager, HR Manager, or similar role.
- Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practices.
- Experience managing HR systems and workforce data.
- Previous people management experience.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present HR data.
- Experience working within a multi-site retail, hospitality, or customer-focused environment.
- CIPD Level 5 or equivalent
This role requires 4 days in the office based in the central London.
