Partnering with business leaders, you will play a key role in ensuring managers are equipped, empowered and accountable for leading their teams effectively, while helping to foster a high-performance culture focused on employee engagement, wellbeing and outstanding service delivery.

About the Role

As a People Partner, you will act as a trusted advisor to operational leaders, building strong relationships across your sites and providing pragmatic, commercially focused people support. This is a highly visible role where you’ll spend time with managers and teams, coaching, influencing and driving the people agenda.

You will bring a true business partnering approach, helping leaders take ownership of people matters while ensuring consistency, compliance and an exceptional employee experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Managers and leadership teams across UK locations.
  • Coach and develop managers to build confidence and accountability in people leadership.
  • Provide expert guidance on employee relations matters, balancing risk management with commercial pragmatism.
  • Support workforce planning, talent development and succession planning initiatives.
  • Analyse people data and trends to identify opportunities and inform decision making.
  • Drive employee engagement, retention and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Lead and support organisational change and business improvement projects.
  • Ensure people policies, procedures and employment legislation are applied consistently.
  • Partner closely with operational stakeholders to maintain a positive and high-performing culture.
  • Act as an ambassador for the people function, delivering a visible, proactive and solutions-focused service.
  • Support recruitment and talent strategies to attract and retain high-calibre employees.
  • Contribute to the continual development of people practices as the business continues to scale.

About You

We’re looking for a proactive and credible People Partner who thrives in fast-paced, customer-facing environments. You someone who enjoys building relationships, challenging constructively and influencing leaders at all levels and are happy to take a hands-on approach and be visible within the business.

You’ll bring energy, resilience and commercial awareness, alongside a genuine passion for people, health, wellbeing and creating exceptional employee experiences. Most importantly, you’ll be someone who can demonstrate what great business partnering looks like and hit the ground running from day one.

Requirements

  • Proven experience operating as a People Partner, HR Business Partner or equivalent.
  • Strong business partnering capability with experience coaching and influencing operational leaders.
  • Background within market leading retail, hospitality, leisure, fitness, events or other customer-facing environments.
  • Experience supporting multiple sites or regional/cluster-based operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex employee relations matters confidently and pragmatically.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build credibility quickly.
  • Commercially minded with the ability to balance people priorities and business outcomes.
  • A genuine interest in health, wellbeing, lifestyle or premium consumer brands.
  • Experience within well-regarded multi-site businesses would be highly advantageous.
  • Able to work in a highly visible, on-site role and build strong relationships across the business.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Stable career history demonstrating commitment and progression.
