About the Opportunity
A prestigious global Law firm is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to join its Human Resources team in Los Angeles. This individual will play a key role in partnering with business leaders and employees to deliver strategic and operational HR support, helping to drive engagement, performance, talent development, and organisational effectiveness across the business.
This position offers the opportunity to work within a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment, supporting a sophisticated employee population and partnering closely with senior leaders on a broad range of people-related initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with business leaders to implement HR strategies that support organisational goals, employee engagement, performance management, and professional development.
- Provide trusted guidance and coaching on a wide range of human resources matters, including employee relations, policy interpretation, performance concerns, and workplace issues.
- Lead and support HR projects, programmes, and initiatives while ensuring compliance with company policies and employment regulations.
- Collaborate with leadership on talent planning, succession planning, workforce management, talent acquisition, and employee development activities.
- Manage complex employee relations matters with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgement.
- Support training and development initiatives that enhance employee capability and organisational performance.
- Promote an inclusive, collaborative, and respectful workplace culture.
- Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive employee and business information.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in Human Resources, Human Resources Business Partnering, Employee Relations, or a related field.
- Experience supporting stakeholders in a complex, matrixed, or professional services environment is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience managing employee relations matters and providing strategic HR guidance.
- Strong knowledge of core HR functions, employment practices, and talent management principles.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, client-service-oriented environment while managing multiple priorities.
