The Resource Allocation Manager plays a critical role as a trusted adviser to Practice Area Leaders and Partners, ensuring the right people are deployed to the right work at the right time.

By combining workforce planning, capacity management, utilisation analysis, and resource deployment, the role helps optimise profitability, enhance client service, and support the career development of fee earners. It requires close collaboration with Partners, Business Development, Talent, and Finance teams to anticipate demand, identify resourcing risks, and develop proactive solutions.

From managing annual leave, secondments, onboarding and offboarding, to providing data-driven insights that inform strategic staffing decisions, effective resource management is increasingly becoming a key driver of both operational performance and employee engagement.

When done well, it creates a win-win outcome: better client delivery, improved utilisation, stronger talent development, and a more sustainable practice.
