Engaging HR talent through our expert networking events

We are constantly engaging with those working in HR and specialist functions, such as payroll and HRIS; hosting a number of seminars and Directors' Circles throughout the year to encourage the sharing of best practice, personal experience and expertise. Previous speakers have included high profile leaders from Amazon, Fujitsu, Barclays, Schneider Electric, PA Consulting, Reed Smith and Travelex.

These round tables are often small gatherings (c.10 to 30 senior HR leaders) held in major cities globally and focus on specific sectors and niche industries. We always secure top-level speakers with deep expertise on specific topics to not only present but engage all attendees in thought provoking discussion.

We are passionate about future HR talent and also run a series of future leader programmes.

HR Director roundtable groups

The HR Director round table groups for Financial services have been a really successful and well attended forums which have been designed to provide networking opportunities for HR leaders who work across a range of organisations within this space.

The premise of the groups originated from the need for HR Directors who are working within smaller HR functions to gain valuable external networking opportunities, with a number of peers who are coming from the same and slightly varying organisation types to their own.

We run two distinct groups which are focused into banking and the buyside sectors and FinTech. The groups have evolved over the last few years and we have grown the networks organically to ensure we have built solid and sustainable long lasting relationships.

Typically discussions will vary but all participants suggest one or two key topics that they wish to discuss and therefore all  go away having gained valuable insight against each suggest topic, from a credible and diverse HR Director peer group.

HR Directors Roundtable Groups

HR DIrectors Circle

The HR Director round table groups have been designed to allow HRD Directors and Heads of HR to meet and network with their direct peers across similar organisations in order to discuss topics, trends and themes that they have personally suggested for the group. This ensures that the meetings are always relevant and that participants find real value in the events.

Typically, in a private setting the events are kept small by design and run in a Chatham House Rules format, meaning that attendees gain more from the meetings. We host three main HR Director round table groups, within Financial Services these groups are; Buy side and Sell side and Insurance arenas. All three groups have provided a vehicle to build strong, sustainable networks for all parties.

HR Directors Circle


The Reward Leadership Forum is a round table event which facilitates compensation and benefits related discussion between Reward Directors. Topics are mutually decided prior to the event between the participants, with case studies often being illustrated to demonstrate particular trends in the market or within specific businesses. The forum is regularly a cross sector event, allowing Senior Reward Practitioners to glean practical and relevant ideas from their counterparts in relation to current obstacles, regulations and challenges in an ever-evolving reward-world.

Macmillan at Work delivered a free one-hour introductory session on managing cancer in the workplace. The session was delivered by Brian Greenley, who has been a Macmillan at Work volunteer trainer for six years.

future talent programme mock tribunal

As part of our Future Talent programme Frazer Jones were delighted to host a 'Mock Tribunal', lead by Adam Williams, Partner at DMH Stallard at the prestigious Law Society. This was a unique opportunity for our group of HR professionals to see at first-hand the intricacies of a tribunal case. 

The morning was an incredible learning experience for all attendees as our real-life judge Gary Self, Adam Williams and the other legal professionals (acting excellently as our claimant and witnesses) provided useful insight and tips throughout.
