Title: Temporary Legal Recruitment Manager

Location: Near New York, NY 10007

Schedule: Hybrid, 4 days per week

Duration: 2-3 months; may shorten or extend

Pay Rate: $50-$60 per hour

Overview:

A prestigious law firm is seeking a Temporary Legal Recruitment Manager to lead attorney hiring efforts for its New York office. This role focuses on summer and fall associate recruitment and requires a strategic, organized professional who can manage high-volume hiring, partner engagement, and candidate experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for summer and fall associate programs
  • Source, screen, and schedule candidates for interviews
  • Conduct initial candidate screenings to streamline partner interviews
  • Lead and facilitate recruitment meetings with attorneys and stakeholders
  • Present candidate profiles confidently and clearly to hiring partners
  • Build trusted relationships with attorneys by understanding hiring needs and delivering strong candidate pipelines
  • Maintain organized tracking of candidates and hiring progress
  • Ensure deep familiarity with candidates to support meaningful discussions and hiring decisions
  • Utilize Lawcruit (ATS) to manage applicant tracking and reporting
  • Oversee intern during summer months and collaborate with indirect reports

Qualifications:

  • Experience in legal recruiting preferred, but open to candidates from professional services, financial services, or other industries
  • Strong familiarity with the New York legal market
  • Prior management experience is a plus
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to understand and navigate legal terminology and hiring nuances
  • Proven ability to lead meetings, present candidates effectively, and serve as a strategic partner to hiring attorneys
