An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR Manager to join a highly regarded London-based law firm on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role offers the chance to work within a specialist, internationally recognised legal practice, supporting a wide range of business services and legal professionals while contributing to a busy and collaborative HR function.
The salary being offered is up to £75,000
The Opportunity
Joining a close-knit and supportive HR team, you will take ownership of a broad generalist remit encompassing employee relations, recruitment, payroll, benefits, performance management and HR operations. This is a varied and hands-on role that would suit a proactive HR professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced professional services environment and partnering with stakeholders across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Acting as the first point of contact for HR matters across a range of business services functions.
- Providing expert guidance on employee relations issues, including absence management, performance management, disciplinary and grievance cases, flexible working requests and employee exits.
- Supporting senior stakeholders with people-related matters and workforce planning.
- Managing end-to-end recruitment processes, from job briefing through to offer management and onboarding.
- Supporting graduate recruitment programmes and talent initiatives.
- Overseeing monthly payroll administration and benefits management.
- Coordinating annual salary and bonus review processes.
- Producing HR reports and analysing workforce data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Managing HR systems and driving process enhancements.
- Supporting sponsorship and immigration processes, ensuring ongoing compliance.
- Overseeing onboarding, induction and leaver processes.
- Supporting DE&I, wellbeing, training and wider people initiatives across the firm.
About You
We are keen to speak with HR professionals who can demonstrate:
- Previous experience in a broad HR Manager or Senior HR Advisor role.
- Strong employment law knowledge and experience managing a range of employee relations matters.
- Experience working within a legal, partnership or professional services environment.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience of payroll, HR systems and people reporting.
- A flexible, proactive and collaborative approach.
- High levels of professionalism, discretion and attention to detail.
