Representing a high-growth, people-first services organization with a strong regional presence and ambitious expansion plans, we are proud to be leading the search for a Vice President of People Operations.

Open to people in Dallas, Tulsa and Oklahoma City.

$160-185k base salary plus bonus up to $200k total compensation.

This newly created role will lead the evolution of the People function to support a growing, multi-site workforce and a dynamic leadership team.

This is a pivotal role offering the opportunity to influence culture, build scalable people operations, and drive organizational performance.

As the Vice President of People Operations, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading the implementation of a new HRIS and payroll system to support scale and efficiency
  • Overseeing compensation, benefits, and certified payroll administration, with a focus on improving cost-effectiveness and employee experience
  • Designing and executing people strategies that align with business goals and support a high-performing, empowered workforce
  • Managing and developing a growing People Operations team, including HR generalists and culture-focused professionals
  • Driving employee engagement, retention, and satisfaction through data-informed initiatives and leadership coaching
  • Partnering with senior leadership to shape and execute strategic workforce planning and organizational development
  • Ensuring compliance with employment laws across multiple states and maintaining accurate employee records
  • Overseeing onboarding, employee relations, and performance management processes
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to enhance training, development, and DEI initiatives
  • Traveling regularly to regional offices to support local teams and ensure alignment with company culture and standards

To be successful in this role our client is looking for a:

  • Proven HR leader with 7+ years of progressive experience, including people management responsibilities
  • Background in high-growth, multi-site environments with a significant hourly workforce
  • Experience implementing or managing HRIS and payroll systems (UKG preferred; ADP a plus)
  • Strong understanding of compensation, benefits, and certified payroll processes
  • Demonstrated ability to lead change, build scalable processes, and influence senior stakeholders
  • Experience overseeing employee relations, compliance, and performance management across multiple states
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with a hands-on leadership style
  • Willingness to travel regularly to company locations across Oklahoma, Texas, and Arkansas
