Benefits Analyst

Location: New York, NY or Connecticut

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and service-driven Benefits Analyst to support the administration and optimization of our employee benefits programs. This role is ideal for either a recent graduate with HR internship experience or an early-career benefits professional with 1-3 years of experience looking to deepen their expertise.

You will play a key role in managing benefit plans, supporting open enrollment, partnering with vendors, and delivering a high-quality employee experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and support employee benefit programs including:
  • Health Savings Accounts (HSA)
  • Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)
  • 401(k) retirement plans
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employee benefits inquiries, providing timely and accurate guidance
  • Assist with open enrollment, including planning, communications, system updates, and employee support
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, brokers, and plan administrators to ensure smooth operations
  • Reconcile and process benefits billing and invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely payments
  • Maintain benefits data in HRIS systems and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations
  • Support audits, reporting, and documentation related to benefits programs
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, employee experience, and operational efficiency

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field OR equivalent experience
  • 0-3 years of experience in HR, Benefits, or a related field
  • Relevant internship experience will be considered

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience working with benefits programs (HSA, FSA, 401(k), health & welfare plans)
  • Exposure to HRIS systems (Workday, ADP, or similar)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
