Location: Hong Kong (Global Headquarters)

Reports to: Group Leadership

Company Size: ~500 employees globally

Structure: Family‑owned multinational with over 30 years of history; owns and operates its own manufacturing facilities

Culture: Flexible, entrepreneurial, and hands‑on

Position Overview:

The Global Head of HR will serve as the strategic and operational leader for all people‑related functions across the organisation. This role is responsible for building and shaping a modern, scalable global HR structure, establishing standardised policies and procedures, and introducing international best practices to support future growth. The position requires a transformative leader who is both strategic and highly hands‑on.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and implement a global HR strategy aligned with the organisation’s long‑term objectives.
  • Redesign and strengthen HR frameworks, including organisation structure, talent development, performance management, and succession planning.
  • Drive cultural alignment across regions while preserving the organisation’s heritage and entrepreneurial spirit.

HR Operations & SOP Development

  • Build and standardise HR policies, SOPs, and governance models across all locations.
  • Oversee end‑to‑end HR processes including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compensation, and compliance.
  • Ensure global consistency while allowing local adaptation where needed.

Talent & Capability Development

  • Lead global talent acquisition, ensuring strong pipelines for leadership and specialist roles.
  • Introduce modern learning, capability‑building, and leadership development programmes.
  • Foster a high‑performance culture through structured performance management systems.

Employee Engagement & Culture

  • Strengthen communication, engagement, and organisational health across global teams.
  • Promote a flexible, collaborative, and inclusive workplace environment.
  • Support change management initiatives to modernise and professionalise HR operations.

HR Partnership & Business Support

  • Act as a trusted advisor to the leadership team on all workforce‑related matters.
  • Provide data‑driven insights for decision‑making in workforce planning and organisation design.
  • Partner closely with factory operations to support workforce stability and development.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven experience leading HR at a regional or global level within a multinational environment, preferably family‑owned or entrepreneurial in nature.
  • Strong exposure to manufacturing, supply‑chain, or operationally intensive organisations is an advantage.
  • Demonstrated success in building HR structures, developing SOPs, and rolling out global best practices.
  • Fluent in English; international mindset with the ability to operate effectively across cultures.
  • Hands‑on, action‑oriented, and willing to „roll up sleeves“ to drive execution.
  • Energetic, upbeat, and motivated to lead transformation within a growing organisation.
