This dual HR Manager position encompasses both strategic and tactical HR responsibilities across two business units, including a Strategic Business Partner role.

Role Overview

  • Manage a small HR Team
  • Own the employee experience by coaching leaders and managers across all stages of the Employee Life Cycle: attracting, developing, managing performance, and rewarding talent to support business strategy and financial goals.
  • Drive employee engagement through development programs, team-building initiatives, recognition strategies, talent management, and transparent communication.
  • Lead HR integration efforts for current operations and future acquisitions to enhance synergy, efficiency, and productivity.
  • Act as a change leader, inspiring organizational adoption of necessary transformations.
  • Serve as a strategic HR Business Partner to the Operations Director and Management Team, aligning people strategy with long-term commercial and organizational objectives.
  • Support transformation and growth by shaping organizational capabilities, workforce planning, and leadership pipelines in collaboration with central HR teams.

Candidate Profile

  • Experienced and well-rounded HR leader with strong business acumen.
  • Data- and people-driven advisor and decision-maker.
  • Skilled in change management and transformation, with a pragmatic and hands-on approach.
  • Proven track record in organization design and productivity improvement.
  • Able to balance operational HR execution with strategic organizational development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Member of the Management Team, HR Leadership Team, and broader HR community.
  • Represent the HR function and drive the people and talent agenda.
  • Act as a Business Partner to the Management Team in all tactical and strategic HR matters.
  • Co-create and support HR strategy by providing insights on performance, capabilities, and talent planning.
  • Lead strategic HR initiatives focused on leadership development, organizational agility, and change enablement.
  • Align HR actions with group-level strategy while addressing business-specific challenges and opportunities.
  • Provide leadership and guidance across all HR and Talent Management practices:
    • Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
    • Performance Management, Talent Development & Succession Planning
    • Learning & Development, Apprentice Programs
    • Goal setting, motivation, communication, and empowerment
    • Employee Engagement & KPI-driven decision making
    • Organizational Design & Development
    • Total Reward Cycle
    • Employment branding and external representation
    • Policy compliance and ethical work environment
    • Collaboration with group functional leads and international HR teams

Skills & Competencies

  • Energetic and results-driven with international corporate experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and business partnering skills; culturally sensitive and able to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strategic HR thinker who proactively drives business and HR agendas.
  • Skilled in networking and coalition-building in complex environments.
  • Capable of balancing short-term priorities with long-term goals.
  • Performs well under pressure in fast-paced settings.
  • Challenges the status quo and leads change initiatives.
  • Communicates effectively across all organizational levels.

Experience & Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of HR management experience with a proven track record in change and transformation (relevant experience prioritized over tenure).
  • Experience in dynamic, growth-oriented environments (e.g., buy & build strategies) with both white- and blue-collar workforces.
  • Familiarity with Collective Labour Agreements.
  • Experience working in a matrix organization.
  • Deep expertise in Learning & Development and Talent Management.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English.
  • Willingness to work internationally and collaborate across borders.
