The Employment Rights Bill webinar: navigating the recruitment challenges

Event date/time: Do, 27 November 2025 12:30 pm - 1:15 pm

From rising sickness-related costs and expanded parental rights to new restrictions on changing employment contracts, the Employment Rights Bill (ERB) has begun to transform the employee lifecycle. Among the most significant changes was the introduction of day-one rights for ordinary unfair dismissal – a shift with major implications for recruitment and workforce planning.

Following the success of our recent in-person seminar with Doyle Clayton and Wasserman, we were delighted to deliver a high-level, practical webinar focused on the recruitment challenges and opportunities arising from the ERB.

Led by Emma O’Connor, Partner, Doyle Clayton, and Aseel Ibrahim, HR recruitment expert, the session explored how the Bill could reshape hiring strategies, onboarding processes and long-term workforce planning.

During the session, attendees…

  • Understood the Employment Rights Bill: gained a clear overview of the key changes, including timelines and legal implications for employers
  • Learned about recruitment impact: examined how day-one unfair dismissal rights and other provisions would affect hiring strategies and onboarding
  • Heard from experts: received insights from leading employment lawyer Emma O’Connor and HR recruitment specialist Aseel Ibrahim
  • Planned ahead: discovered how to align recruitment and workforce planning with upcoming legislative changes

Watch the replay below and read the article summarising the session.
