HRIS Director / HR Operations
We are seeking an experienced and strategic HR Leader to build and lead the global HR Operations & HRIS function at (NewCo).
This is a unique opportunity to design and implement HR operations infrastructure from the ground up-establishing foundational systems and processes and shaping how employees experience HR services and technology worldwide.
In this role, you will play a critical part in standing up Workday HCM as the core HR platform, driving operational excellence, and creating a scalable, compliant, and efficient HR service delivery model. Over time, this position may also assume responsibility for global payroll operations, ensuring alignment between HR technology and pay processes.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on, strategic leader with deep expertise in HR technology enablement, HR operations strategy, and global compliance. You will partner closely with HR, Finance, Legal, and IT to deliver a modern HR environment that supports business growth and operational readiness.
You’ll build and lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Your leadership will be instrumental in driving strategic initiatives, optimizing systems, and delivering actionable insights through data and analytics.
What You Will Do
- Design and execute the global HR Operations strategy, including process standardization, service delivery model, and governance.
- Own and optimize the global HR technology framework and ecosystem, with Workday HCM as the cornerstone platform.
- Partner across HR, Finance, and IT to ensure seamless integration with Workday and alignment with key business processes.
- Establish global data governance, policies, and standard operating procedures to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
- Build and manage a high-performing HR Operations and HRIS team, fostering operational excellence and continuous improvement.
- Develop dashboards and analytics that enable leaders to make smart talent decisions.
- Provide Workday expertise and leadership support for M&A, divestiture, and new entity stand-up activities.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance user experience and system performance.
- Future scope: Oversee global payroll operations and integration with HR systems to ensure compliance and efficiency.
What You Will Bring
- 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, including HR operations and HRIS strategy.
- Proven success implementing Workday HCM or transforming global HR operations at scale.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional projects and manage change effectively.
- Skilled at building relationships and influencing across HR, Finance, and IT teams.
- Experience managing external vendors and service delivery models.
- Exceptional attention to detail, analytical capability, and a solutions-oriented mindset.
- Preferred: Experience in carve-outs, start-ups, or new company stand-ups.
- Preferred: Familiarity with shared services or global business services environments.
