Our client is looking for an experienced Learning & Development Advisor to provide additional capacity across a busy programme of learning and development activity. Joining on a six-month fixed-term contract, you will help ensure that learning initiatives are thoughtfully designed, well coordinated and aligned with the organisation’s evolving needs.

This is an opportunity to make an immediate impact within a practical, delivery-focused role. You will work closely with stakeholders and subject matter experts, taking ownership of agreed projects while also supporting the smooth running of the wider L&D programme.

About the role

This is a role where you’ll both design and deliver high-quality learning interventions across a range of formats, managing projects from initial scoping through to delivery and evaluation. Alongside project work, you will oversee agreed business-as-usual activities and help maintain an engaging, relevant and effective learning offer.

Responsibilities:

  • Scope, design and deliver learning interventions that respond to organisational priorities and audience needs.
  • Manage agreed learning projects from initial concept and planning through to implementation and evaluation.
  • Partner with stakeholders and subject matter experts to create relevant, engaging learning experiences.
  • Adapt learning content and delivery methods for different audiences, objectives and business requirements.
  • Coordinate agreed day-to-day L&D activities, ensuring programmes are organised, communicated and delivered effectively.
  • Create engaging e-learning content using Articulate 360 or a comparable authoring tool.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of learning interventions and use feedback and evidence to measure impact.
  • Build effective working relationships across the organisation.
  • Prioritise competing projects and activities in a busy learning environment.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the wider learning and development programme.

About you

We’re looking for an experienced, hands-on L&D professional who can quickly understand a new organisation, build strong working relationships and move projects forward with minimal supervision. You’re someone who will be comfortable combining learning theory with practical delivery and adapting your approach to suit different audiences and business needs.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience of learning and development, including a good understanding of different learning formats and training methodologies.
  • Demonstrable experience designing and delivering high-quality learning interventions.
  • A practical and theoretical understanding of the learning cycle.
  • Experience evaluating learning effectiveness and measuring impact.
  • Experience creating e-learning content using Articulate 360 or a similar authoring platform.
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent prioritisation and organisational abilities.
  • Clear and confident written and verbal communication skills.

Desirable:

  • Experience using a Learning Management System.
  • MBTI and/or Belbin accreditation.
