Title: Payroll Specialist

Location: Remote (U.S.)

Duration: 3 months, possible extension

Compensation: Negotiable

About the Role:

A TV/event production organization is migrating payroll from a legacy/manual system to a more automated platform. They need a detail‑oriented Payroll Specialist to handle weekly payroll while supporting the system transition.

Responsibilities:

  • Process weekly payroll (manual entry from sign‑in sheets).
  • Apply correct role‑based rates and resolve discrepancies with production/finance teams.
  • Support onboarding of 300+ workers into the new payroll system (data validation, rate setup, role mapping).
  • Track progress, exceptions, approvals, and escalate issues when needed.

Qualifications:

  • 2-4+ years payroll experience (high‑volume/hourly/timecard).
  • Strong accuracy, organization, and manual entry skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing production schedules and new systems.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Entertainment Partners or Greenslate.
  • TV/film/event production payroll background.
