Overview
A leading financial services firm is seeking an experienced Recruitment leader at the Director or Vice President level to drive talent acquisition strategy across the organization. This individual will oversee a team of recruiters, elevate hiring practices, and partner closely with senior business leaders to attract world‑class talent across investment, corporate, and early‑career functions. The ideal candidate brings deep financial services expertise, a passion for developing recruiting teams, and a strategic mindset that balances high‑touch execution with long‑term talent planning.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & People Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high‑performing recruiting team, providing coaching, guidance, and ongoing professional development.
- Establish clear performance expectations, build scalable processes, and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on talent strategy, market insights, and organizational design.
Full‑Cycle Recruiting
- Oversee lateral hiring across investment teams and corporate functions (e.g., finance, operations, risk, compliance, technology).
- Partner with business leaders to define role requirements, craft sourcing strategies, and ensure a seamless candidate experience.
- Drive diversity hiring initiatives and ensure inclusive recruiting practices.
Campus & Early Career Strategy
- Build and scale a robust campus recruiting program, including internship pipelines, analyst/associate programs, and university partnerships.
- Design and execute on-campus engagement strategies, assessment processes, and conversion plans to secure top early‑career talent.
Strategic Talent Initiatives
- Develop and refine recruitment frameworks, interview training, and competency models.
- Leverage data and analytics to inform hiring decisions, workforce planning, and process optimization.
- Stay current on market trends, compensation benchmarks, and competitive intelligence within financial services.
Qualifications
- Recruitment experience, with significant exposure to financial services.
- Proven success managing and developing recruiting teams in a fast‑paced, high‑performance environment.
- Strong track record hiring banking/investment professionals and corporate talent across multiple disciplines.
- Experience building or scaling campus recruiting programs.
- Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and relationship‑building skills.
- Ability to operate strategically while remaining hands‑on when needed.
- Comfortable working onsite 3 days per week in NYC.
