We are pleased to be collaborating with a global technology firm that has made its mark on the market through introducing a series of artificial intelligence-powered applications. Headquartered in East Asia with more than 120 offices across the world, our client is guided by the mission to enrich lives. While their initial focus was on entertainment products for leisure purposes (and continues to be one of the key pillars), the client has also sought to deliver a more holistic experience through breaking into the fields of education and financial technologies. Having anchored itself in Singapore for several years now, the client is ready to accelerate its Asia-Pacific (APAC) expansion plan. It is against this backdrop that the client is looking for a Regional Rewards Lead to join their global team. This role will be based in Singapore.

Job Description

Reporting to the Global Rewards and Performance Management Director based in Singapore, your responsibilities stretch across design, advisory and operational work. A key order of business is to bring the firm's Rewards framework for the APAC region into maturity, using Singapore as the point of departure. To ensure that local specificities for the other locations are not neglected, you will work collaboratively with the respective in-country HR colleagues (HRBPs + Rewards specialists) since they are the subject matter experts. Yet another important aspect of your role is to ensure that common threads run through those individually tailored Rewards schemes. Among the utmost is drawing up a Rewards structure that will incentivise prospective and current employees across all stages of the talent process - attraction, development and retention. As a key advisor to the business, you should likewise be proactively engaging in market benchmarking to ensure that the client's Rewards framework remains competitive. In other words, this role goes beyond ensuring that performance reviews are conducted and compensation payouts are executed in a timely fashion.

The Successful Candidate

This role will ideally require candidates with experience crafting and conceptualising rewards frameworks in a regional capacity. Consultancy experience - either current or prior - will thus be looked upon favourably. Strong and proven track records in running large Rewards projects - particularly building and/or revamping Compensation & Benefits structure from start to finish - will likewise be a key metric setting you apart from others. Since this role leans heavily towards the design side of things, the client especially values candidates who are not easily satisfied with the status quo. In a candidate-short market wherein the war on talent is very real, you must see Rewards as an equally critical component of the broader workforce strategy in meeting organisational goals and business needs.
