Our client is a pioneering media company with offices in London and New York who are looking for a Head of People to join their team. Reporting directly into the CEO, you’ll be joining a company that has a focus on building a strong, values‑led culture that supports creativity, integrity, and high performance. They are looking for a dedicated People leader to bring clarity, structure, and consistency to how they support, develop, and grow their teams, ensuring people practices evolve in step with the organisation.

About the Role

Our client are looking for a Head of People / People Lead to take ownership of the People function and partner closely with senior leadership within the organisation. The role spans both strategy and execution and you will build on existing foundations while designing scalable people frameworks that support performance, engagement, and culture. You will act as a trusted advisor to leaders and a cultural steward for the organisation during periods of growth and change.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and evolve the People function to support a growing, international organisation.
  • Partner with senior leadership to align People strategy with business objectives.
  • Embed scalable infrastructure, including performance management, progression frameworks, and feedback systems.
  • Drive initiatives that support engagement, retention, and a high‑performance culture.
  • Build leadership and people‑management capability across the business.
  • Develop structured, effective hiring processes aligned to organisational needs.
  • Use people data and insights to inform decision‑making and identify trends.
  • Act as a steward of culture and values through growth and transformation.
  • Support teams through periods of change with clarity, empathy, and stability.

About You

We’re looking for a hands‑on, delivery‑focused People professional who thrives in creative, fast‑paced environments. You’ll be someone who is comfortable operating autonomously, balancing strategy with execution, and bringing structure without unnecessary complexity. Able to build trust quickly, communicate clearly, you’ll be motivated by enabling people and teams to perform at their best. This is an ideal opportunity for someone stepping into their first Head of People role, perhaps from a Senior HRBP, People Lead, or Talent Lead position, who is ready to operate with full ownership and influence.

What You Bring

  • Experience in a People or Talent role within a digital media, creative, or technology‑led organisation.
  • Comfort operating with a high degree of autonomy across multiple areas of People practice.
  • Exposure to performance management, progression frameworks, and engagement initiatives.
  • Experience working with international teams (UK and US exposure preferred).
  • A pragmatic, solutions‑focused approach grounded in business context.
  • Strong cultural awareness and the ability to support creative teams effectively.
  • Confidence using data and insight to inform priorities and decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to coach and influence senior stakeholders.
  • A values‑led approach, with low ego, high accountability, and a genuine commitment to developing others.
