Chief People Officer
Frazer Jones is delighted to be retained on a confidential search for a newly created Chief Human Resources Officer role with a private equity backed, fast-growing FMCG / Retail organisation headquartered in Shenzhen.
The business is entering an exciting phase of growth and transformation, with a clear ambition to further strengthen its market position and build the organisational capabilities required to support its next stage of development. The organisation is seeking a CHRO who can help shape the people strategy and build a scalable HR platform for continued growth.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer and working closely with the senior leadership team and investment partner, the CHRO will be based in Shenzhen and will serve as a core member of the executive leadership team. This individual will be responsible for defining and executing the people and culture agenda, with a strong focus on organisational effectiveness, leadership capability, talent development and building scalable HR infrastructure.
The CHRO will lead the full HR agenda across organisational design, leadership and succession, total rewards, performance management, talent strategy, HR operations, governance, and workforce planning. A key priority will be strengthening the organisation and HR function to support continued growth, ensuring the right structures, leadership capabilities and people practices are in place to enable both efficiency and expansion.
This is a highly commercial and transformation-focused CHRO mandate, working in close partnership with the CEO, executive team, and investors to drive business performance through people and organisational effectiveness. The successful candidate will be expected to link people strategy directly to business priorities, enable organisational transformation, and build leadership depth across the business.
The ideal candidate will bring proven experience as a senior HR leader within private equity backed, complex, and fast-moving environments. Prior experience of leading or operating within high-growth, consumer-facing organisations will be highly valued. Strong experience across Retail or adjacent consumer sectors, together with a track record of organisational transformation, talent development and building scalable HR capabilities, will be important. Candidates must have strong China experience and be comfortable operating in an entrepreneurial and performance-driven environment. Mandarin proficiency is a must.
This is a rare opportunity to shape the people agenda of a high-growth organisation at an important stage of its development, with significant influence over organisational design, leadership capability, culture and long-term business growth.
