HR Business Partner – Employee Relations
I am delighted to support a leading international organisation in the recruitment of an experienced Employee Relations Business Partner for a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. This role will play a key part in delivering complex ER support and driving people‑related change initiatives across the UK business. This role can be based in either Manchester or London.
The position offers the chance to influence sensitive and business-critical people matters, while supporting organisational change projects across multiple UK locations.You will be responsible for providing operational ER expertise, coaching leaders through complex and often sensitive issues, and ensuring consistent and compliant delivery of change activity.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert guidance on complex ER matters including disciplinary, grievance, capability and other sensitive people issues.
- Partner with central ER Advisory and regional HR teams to ensure consistency and legal compliance across all ER activity.
- Support leaders in navigating people-related change with confidence, clarity, and empathy.
- Advise on restructures, TUPE processes, and the people implications of business change.
- Ensure robust risk mitigation strategies are in place across all ER casework.
- Contribute to fostering a culture of respectful change, wellbeing, and continuous improvement.
Skills & Experience Required
- Strong track record managing a wide range of ER issues, including complex investigations, performance, restructures and TUPE.
- Excellent working knowledge of UK employment law.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, able to influence and build trust at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving capability; comfortable working with data to inform decisions.
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑moving environment.
- CIPD‑qualified (or equivalent experience).
- Professional, discreet, and able to handle sensitive situations with confidence.
