Title: Recruiter

Location: New York, NY (Hybrid – 4 days onsite) – Upper West Side

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Pay Rate: $28-$33/hour

Our client is a well-established, mission-driven organization operating across multiple locations in New York. They are committed to delivering essential services and maintaining a strong, people-focused workforce to support their operations.

They are seeking a Recruiter to support high-volume hiring and workforce coordination efforts. This role is responsible for managing the recruitment lifecycle, building talent pipelines, and supporting staffing operations for a dynamic, multi-site environment.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and experienced in fast-paced hiring environments, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

  • Manage full-cycle, high-volume recruitment for a variety of operational roles
  • Source candidates through job boards, community partnerships, and workforce programs
  • Build and maintain strong candidate pipelines for ongoing hiring needs
  • Conduct candidate screenings and initial interviews
  • Coordinate pre-employment processes including background checks and verifications
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the applicant tracking system
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand hiring needs and drive timely placements
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process

Staffing Coordination

  • Support workforce scheduling and staffing coverage across multiple sites
  • Assist with filling open shifts, call-outs, and coverage gaps as needed
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align staffing plans with operational needs
  • Monitor staffing activity and workforce availability
  • Help facilitate onboarding and training processes for new hires

Required Skills & Experience

  • 2+ years of recruiting experience, preferably in high-volume environments
  • Strong sourcing and pipeline development skills
  • Experience with ATS platforms and HR systems
  • Excellent organization, multitasking, and time management abilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work onsite in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent work experience)
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in recruiting, staffing coordination, or workforce management
  • Experience supporting high-volume hiring environments strongly preferred
  • Experience recruiting for operational or service-based roles is a plus
  • Exposure to temporary, contingent, or per diem workforce models is desirable

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in multi-site or decentralized environments
  • Familiarity with workforce scheduling or staffing coordination tools
  • Comfort partnering with cross-functional teams and leadership stakeholders
