HR Advisor

To support this ambition, our client is looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join their EMEA HR team. This is an opportunity to play a key role in delivering professional, people-focused HR support across the full employee lifecycle, partnering with managers and employees to ensure effective HR practices, positive employee relations, and an engaging workplace culture.
About the Role
This is a broad and varied HR generalist position that combines operational HR delivery, employee relations support, HR systems management, and project involvement. Working closely with managers and employees across the EMEA region, you will provide practical HR advice and guidance, ensuring policies and procedures are applied consistently while supporting business objectives. The role offers excellent exposure to a wide range of HR activities and would suit someone who enjoys balancing day-to-day HR operations with continuous improvement initiatives and strategic projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for HR queries across the EMEA region, providing timely and practical guidance to managers and employees.
- Advise on HR policies, procedures, employment legislation, and best practice across the employee lifecycle.
- Support and manage employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, performance management, probation, flexible working, and family-friendly cases.
- Prepare HR documentation and support formal employee relations meetings where required.
- Manage and continuously improve onboarding, induction, and offboarding processes.
- Coordinate and monitor probation review processes, ensuring timely completion and documentation.
- Maintain HR policies, guidance materials, templates, and process documentation.
- Act as a key user of the HR system, ensuring accurate employee records and data integrity.
- Support payroll, benefits administration, and wider HR operational activities.
- Manage family leave processes, including maternity, paternity, adoption, and shared parental leave.
- Assist with recruitment activities, including offer management and pre-employment checks.
- Produce and analyse HR data and reports to identify trends and support decision-making.
- Contribute to HR projects, process improvements, employee engagement initiatives, and organisational change programmes.
- Build strong working relationships with stakeholders across different countries and business functions.
- Ensure the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism are maintained when handling employee information.

You are confident handling employee relations matters, interpreting employment legislation, and partnering with managers to deliver effective people solutions. Requirements
- Previous experience in an HR Advisor, HR Generalist, or similar HR position.
- Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and its practical application.
- Experience providing HR advice and guidance to managers on a broad range of people matters.
- Proven experience supporting employee relations cases from start to finish.
- Good understanding of HR processes across the full employee lifecycle.
- Experience using HR systems and producing HR reports and management information.
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- High levels of discretion, professionalism, and attention to detail.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a wider HR team.
Desirable
- CIPD Level 5 qualification, or currently working towards it.
- Experience supporting HR activities across EMEA or other international regions.
- Knowledge of employment legislation outside of the UK.
- Fluency in an additional European language.
- Experience contributing to HR projects, organisational change, or process improvement initiatives.
- Degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related discipline.
