VP, HR Business Partner
The ideal candidate will bring both strategic and hands-on HR experience gained within a small to mid-sized international banking institution or comparable global professional services environment. This individual will have broad exposure across the employee lifecycle, including benefits administration, employee relations, engagement initiatives, recruitment, compliance, and HR operations. Experience managing health and welfare and retirement programs, maintaining strong broker relationships, and supporting payroll processes is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate core HR functions, including payroll administration, benefits management, recruitment, employee relations, and collaboration with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
- Oversee employee benefits programs, ensuring effectiveness, regulatory compliance, and alignment with organizational objectives.
- Support workforce planning initiatives and assist with the preparation, monitoring, and management of personnel budgets.
- Facilitate employment-based immigration and work authorization processes.
- Manage employee relations matters, including investigations, accommodation requests, performance-related issues, and associated documentation.
- Execute full-cycle recruitment activities, from sourcing and interviewing candidates through onboarding and integration.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulatory requirements, audit standards, and corporate governance policies.
- Evaluate and enhance HR policies, processes, and systems to improve operational efficiency and the overall employee experience.
- Serve as a trusted HR advisor to management and employees while maintaining strong partnerships with global HR counterparts.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of employment law, HR compliance requirements, and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Exceptional attention to detail, sound judgment, and the highest standards of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with demonstrated success in process improvement and workflow optimization.
- Ability to build credibility, influence stakeholders, and collaborate effectively across functions and leadership levels.
- Experience operating in a highly regulated and internationally focused business environment.
Qualifications
- 7-10 years of progressive human resources experience, ideally within a broad HR generalist or HR business partner capacity.
- Bachelor’s degree required; professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR) preferred.
- Hands-on experience with HRIS platforms, payroll administration, employee benefits, immigration/work visa processes, and compliance reporting.
- Previous experience within banking, financial services, or another highly regulated global organization is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience partnering with international headquarters and managing multiple aspects of a localized HR function.
- German language proficiency is a plus.
