Head of Global People Services
Are you a strategic HR leader with a passion for delivering exceptional employee experiences and driving continuous improvement? We are looking for a Head of Global People Services to lead the transformation of HR service delivery on a global scale. Based in the Netherlands, this role is central to shaping a high-performing, employee-focused People Services organization that supports international growth.
The Role
As Head of Global People Services, you will report directly to the CHRO and be part of the HR Leadership Team. You’ll oversee a global team of approximately 100 FTEs, covering HR Operations, local HR Advisors, and HR Business Partners across four regions: APAC, Europe, North America, and China.
This role involves leading the Global HR Business Services (GBS) transformation, including HR process optimization, standardization, and automation of HR service delivery. On the other hand, it requires strong leadership of the local HR Advisory and Business Partnering organization, acting as a strategic bridge between People Services and the broader HR function to ensure alignment with business needs.
In addition, you will play a key role in reshaping the People Services function to meet the evolving needs of the business, driving automation, centralization, and standardization, while fostering a culture of agility, resilience, and future-readiness across the global HR community.
You will also be responsible for:
- Leading the execution of a 3-5-year global transformation plan, including the development of global shared services and local delivery models.
- Defining the vision, brand, and strategic direction of People Services in alignment with broader HR and business goals.
- Proven experience in managing both global operational and generalist HR teams
- Driving the evolution of HR service delivery, with a strong focus on employee experience, operational excellence, and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborating closely with HRLT, regional HRBPs, and local People Services leads to ensure consistency and alignment across geographies.
- Anticipating future HR operational trends and ensuring the People Services function remains agile and future-ready.
- Acting as a strategic partner to senior leadership, including board members, to ensure People Services supports business priorities.
- Fostering a culture of service, development, and continuous improvement within the People Services team.
Your Profile
- Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- 15+ years of international HR experience, ideally including exposure to the U.S. market.
- Proven experience in managing both operational HR functions and generalist local HR teams.
- Proven track record in leading both HR Operations and local HR teams on a global scale.
- Experience with HR technology (preferably Workday) and automation of HR service delivery.
- Strong understanding of labor legislation and extensive experience in labor relations.
- Fluent in English, with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- This role is based in the Netherlands and the client is open to candidates who are willing to relocate.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and leading through change in a dynamic, matrixed environment.
